Dr. Hoffman Article on Vitamin D Featured in Medical Journal
Wednesday, April 7
It's been a while since I've posted on my blog site here at drhoffman.com, but I've been busy with a couple of projects, including an article I wrote for a medical journal on vitamin D.
There's been a revolution in understanding vitamin D's role in health, and I'm happy to have been in the vanguard. Clinical Advisor is a journal directed at Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. Especially with the advent of Obamacare, like it or not, there will not be enough doctors to service the huge influx of newly-insured patients. And with the emphasis on preventive care, PA's and NP's will be in an excellent position to test for vitamin D and initiate supplementation. I hope this article goes a long way toward clearing up misconceptions about the toxicity of high-dose vitamin D, and introducing more front-line health care practitioners to its vast potential for prevention and healing. "What Lies Behind the Vitamin D Revolution" is written for a professional audience, and is a little technical, but astute readers can learn a lot by accessing it at http://www.clinicaladvisor.com/what-lies-behind-the-vitamin-d-revolution/article/164940/
