CoQ10 400 mg
by Protocol for Life Balance How it Works: Coenzyme Q10, also called ubiquinone, is present in almost all cells, where it is necessary for mitochondrial energy production. The body's highest concentrations of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) are found in the heart, where constant chemical energy availability is imperative. In addition to its benefits for cardiac function through energy production, CoQ10 also functions as a powerful fat soluble antioxidant, providing protection against free radical attack for vascular structures, as well as for other tissues. Each softgel contains: calories 7, calories from fat 5, total fat 0.5 g, trans fat 0 g, vitamin E (as d-alpha tocopherol) 30 iu, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) 400, soy lecithin 35 mg. Other ingredients: rice bran oil, softgel capsule (gelatin, glycerin, water, carob), and Beeswax. Contains No: sugar, salt, starch, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, milk, egg, shellfish or preservatives. Suggested use: As a dietary supplement, take one softgel 1-3 times daily with a meal or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Cautions / Interactions: Coenzyme Q10 may interact with anticoagulant and antihypertensive medications, as well as chemotherapy agents. Statin medications have been shown to decrease CoQ10 levels in the body and CoQ10 supplementation may be useful when taking these drugs. Consult your healthcare professional if you are taking any of these medications.
